Penhaligon’s | World of Wonder (Xmas ‘22)

Having spent some time developing the illustrations and packaging designs for the campaign, we then started on creating a hero animation and a series of shorts. Our team of designers and animators pulled out all the stops for this production, from initial concept, to character and environment development and then tying it all together with this magnificent animation. We then later decided to remaster the animation in a 3D world reinventing some of the characters and rendering them beautifully in 3D.

Design

For the illustrations in this campaign, we were tasked with encapsulating Penhaligon’s vintage style in a circus theme. We were very fortunate to be granted a lot of freedom to develop a vibrant range of circus characters that featured across Penhaligon’s 360 campaign.

Product Design

The starting point of the whole campaign was packaging development. During this phase our creatives dusted off their top hats and monocles for inspiration because, as always with Penhaligon’s, we needed to create packaging design that combined luxury aesthetic with their sense of quirk and fun.

Inspired by our World of Wonder animation, the team, remastered the previous 2D animation in a 3D world reinventing some of the characters and rendering them beautifully in 3D.
